The Initiative wants to help you make the most of today's opportunities in the green building product market. Our experts know green building, and we know Pennsylvania. Here's what we can help you do:

  • Explore green market opportunities related to your specific product line. We can help you connect with potential customers and find projects of interest.
  • Participate in green training events and information exchanges with peers and professionals. Whether you’re just beginning with green construction, or you’re an experienced hand, our training events and information exchanges can help you learn what you need to know.
  • Consult with The Initiative’s industry experts for one-on-one assistance with green building issues.  We can assist you in understanding green product certification and labeling, for example, or assist you with exports or marketing questions.
  • Evaluate your existing products to determine green strengths and weaknesses. Helping you assess your manufacturing processes for improvement or retooling opportunities to produce green building products, or identifying opportunities to recycle or reuse product components are just some of the things we can do.
  • Innovate new products with the help of The Initiative’s Product Innovation Grant program. If you have a product idea that’s commercially feasible in the short term, you may be eligible for one of our grants. We can also help you identify other possible sources of funding for product development.
  • Get Listed in the online Pennsylvania Green Building Product Directory. A listing in our directory makes it easy for architects, designers and specifiers to find your product. You’re able to make a connecttion with other green manufacturers and programs in Pennsylvania.
  • Learn how to transition to and operate as a sustainable company. We can assist you in implementing green manufacturing methods, or help your company make more efficient use of natural resources overall.
  • Advocate advancement of the green building industry by being part of a collective voice and marketing campaign. The Initiative speaks for the green building products community in Pennsylvania as a constant advocate for public policies that support green building.
